California White
California Whites are an efficient white egg layer that was developed in the 1950’s at Dryden Poultry Breeding Farms in California by crossing California Gray males with White Leghorn females. California White chicks have single combs and are pale yellow with a few black spots. They have clean, yellow legs and feet. Adults have a primarily white plumage with a scattering of black spots along their long and deep body.
Because the Ideal 236 is such an outstanding cross, Ideal reserves the right to substitute Ideal 236 chicks for California Whites.
